No Sleeves 6th Single [Answer]

Since kieyuku, the writer in charge of subgroup posts, is busy with her exams I will be writing this in her stead. You owe me one for this kieyuku.

No Sleeves (no3b) will be releasing their 6th Single on 02 March 2011 (which is by the way yesterday). Titled [Answer], the song is currently being used as the ending theme song for the anime Beelzebub, which is airing on NTV.

Official website: http://www.no3b.net/

As their previous Singles, there are a total of 4 different versions. The Regular CD only version will have the A-Side Answer and the B-Side Monozuki Ichi Gou (モノズキ1号), both of which are also present in the other 3 versions. The 3rd track differs for all versions, and the Regular will have the TV Animation size of Answer. TYPE A, which features Kojima Haruna, will have Hoshi No Mukougawa (☆の向こう側), which is her unit song in Team A 6th Stage [Mokugekisha]. TYPE B features Takahashi Minami and will also feature her unit song Itoshisa no Accel (愛しさのアクセル) also from Team A 6th Stage [Mokugekisha]. And the last one is TYPE C with Minegishi Minami, and it has Gyakuten Oujisama (逆転王子様) from Team K 6th Stage [RESET].

The DVDs for TYPE A, B and C will have the PV of Answer, the Making Of, and finally a video of the girls singing their album solo song on Request Hour Setlist Best 100 2011.

Comments from kieyuku:
I really like the title song Answer. It has been on replay a lot on my music player. I love the chorus so much, and the happy-ish instrumental. no3b's voices are also pleasant as ever to listen to. I'm glad that no3b continued to sing ballad-style songs after Kimishika. I hope it continues because I personally feel this kind of style fits with no3b much more than "Lie" or "Tane" even though those were great songs. As for Monozuki, it's a much happier song that's also great but doesn't appeal to me as much. I won't really comment about the stage songs since we've known them for some time, but I'm still kind of thinking it's weird for Itoshisa to be in because it's only Takamina singing.

For the Answer PV, it's a very clean indoor PV shoot. They used the black/white half-a-screen thing that's reminiscent of Kurumi to Dialogue's PV, since in this PV there's also the clean, simply-styled no3b and the dark, more rockish styled no3b. The girls look really gorgeous in the clean shots and I love their hair as usual. Takamina with her hair down is always a bonus. For the dark shots, they were pretty cool but I didn't really like the hairstyles for Takamina and Miichan, maybe it's just not my cup of tea? But I did like Nyan's curly hair look, she looked so different especially with all the eyeliner. I'm probably a bit biased as I say this since Nyan is my second favourite girl in AKB. In the PV there's also this weird part where the girls decorate white bust sculptures. The end result was a little weird. Nevertheless, a good and simple PV.

The Request Hour Set List live videos are amazing to watch as well. Their voices live are good, and it evidences no3b as the AKB subunit with the best voices (for now. DiVA will probably be strong competition for that).
