AKB48 13th Generation auditions: 33 girls advance!
The AKB48 13th generation auditions has ended and now we have 33 have been selected! The auditions finished just yesterday, September 24th and 33 new girls are a lot, also the highest ever in the idol group's history. The age ranges of these girls as usual is from 12 to 18.
Now, they are just temporary members - not yet a full fledged part of AKB. Auditions were indeed very stressful for the 57 girls (those who passed for the final round) who not only had to face 15 judges but one of them was also the one and only Akimoto Yasushi. The girls had to show their dancing skills on AKB's song Flying Get. As for the singing skills, various of them sang songs of their favorite artists including AKB48 and Southern All Stars.
A lot of people are speculating that there might be a mass graduation but I highly doubt it. AKB is at at their peak right now so such a mass graduation, not happening and plus these girls aren't really Kenkyuuseis but temporary members meaning they still need to work had to be made into a Kenkyuusei so it will take time for them to be fully promoted to a team. My guess is Aki-P will be promoting the 11th and 12th generation members to fully form Team 4 and Team 8. Now that would be awesome.
Anyways, congratulations to the 33 girls! They will need to work very hard!
