16 girls pass SKE48's 5th Generation audition
SKE48's search for new recruits ended on October 16th, when 16 girls were chosen to be the group's unofficial members. Of the 5,988 girls who filed their applications last month, 84 were selected by AKS to participate in the following round. They were then screened for their singing and dancing before the final cut was made.
SKE's 4th generation audition saw around the same number of applicants, but 4 times more final auditionees than this year. With so many young girls vying to become part of the 48 family, standards have naturally risen to allow only those with the passion and talent to join.
I hope these lucky 16 will work hard to receive their promotions. Congratulations girls; continue striving to stand on the same stage as your senior idols!
