Nogizaka46 celebrated its one-year anniversary yesterday, August 21st 2012. Exactly one year ago, 34 girls were told they were the members of the only official rival group to AKB48, the top idol group in Japan. To mark this special occasion, Nogizaka46 launched a one-year Anniversary webpage.

Last week, Nogizaka46 asked fans to tweet birthday messages to the group via the hashtag #n46_1year. Those messages they collected the past week are flashed on the webpage. In addition, all 33 current Nogizaka46 members have uploaded personal video messages.

At 4 pm all members of the group held a special anniversary performance at Odaiba, Tokyo. Nogizaka's new [overture] was played, inviting fans to use the "mix" that had been first introduced at the recent concert in Namba.
