Niidoi Sayaka and Kitahara Yuna Leave SKE48

On November 22nd, two SKE48 members announced their graduation. Team S member Niidoi Sayaka will graduate on November 30th with a final performance in the theatre. Kenkyuusei Kitahara Yuna's leave instead was immediate, she is not a member of the group anymore. Both girls want to focus on their studies.

Niidoi Sayaka is a 5th Generation member. She joined SKE48 in late 2011 and was promoted to Team S during the SKE48 shuffle this April. She made SKE48 senbatsu once for [Utsukushii Inazuma]. Kitahara Yuna was a 6th Generation member who had only joined early this year.

You can read their messages concerning the graduations below.

Niidoi Sayaka's Comment
Original Message
I, Team S member Niidoi Sayaka, will retire from my activities in SKE48 to focus on my studies. It is really sudden, but please let me make this announcement of apology.
Since being added to SKE48 members 2 years have passed, a short time, but every single day  was full with precious experiences that won't come along again. Since the beginning, I was so inexperienced, always wavered and worried, but nevertheless I struggled to move forward somehow. But I liked dancing, I liked the stage, and I liked SKE48 even more and the ones who always supported my "heart star" (?) were my fans.
"I will watch over your growth", with these kind and warm words from you all in my heart, I was able to come so far. I still have a lot of things I want to talk about, but I will write those in the blog. My last stage will be the Team S show on November 30th. There is not much time left, but with gratitude I will make an effort (during this time), please treat me well.

Kitahara Yuna's Comment
Original Message
I will retire from my activities in SKE48 today.
I am really sorry it is so sudden and that I make this announcement via a written text even though it is something I should tell you in person.
Advance to university in the future, study psychology and at some rate study abroad, that is my dream. To achieve this dream academic ability is absolutely necessary and it has become difficult now to do both my studies and SKE48. Previously, I injured my eye during a stage show and took a long time off. During this time I worried continuously.
I am not skillful enough to combine my activities in SKE48 and my studies. And I'd really hate it to do both things only half-heartedly. As a result, I chose studying. To make an excuse to my beloved fellow 6th Generation members for not being able to pull through as SKE48's Kitahara Yuna, I will work as hard as I can at my studies in order to achieve my dream.
It was only about one year, a short time, but thank you for your kind support.

AKB48 34th Single [Suzukake Nanchara] Tracklist and Covers

On December 11th, AKB48 will release this year's Janken single. The single has the longest title in AKB48's history: [Suzukake no Ki no Michi de "Kimi no Hohoemi wo Yume ni Miru" to Itteshimattara Bokutachi no Kankei wa dou Kawatteshimau no ka, Boku nari ni Nannichi ka Kangaeta Ue de no Yaya Kihazukashii Ketsuron no you na Mono], shortened to [Suzukake Nanchara]. The title can be translated as: Sort of a slightly embarassing conclusion I came to after thinking for several days about how our relationship will change if I told you "I see your smile in my dream" while being on a road with oriental plane trees.

The senbatsu for the title track are those determined by the last janken tournament with winner Matsui Jurina taking the center position. A full senbatsu list can be read below.

Among the coupling songs for this single are songs for each of the groups of the 48 family. Except for SKE48's song all of these are centered by Kenkyuusei. Owada Nana is the center for the AKB48 song, Shibuya Nagisa for NMB48 and recently joined 3rd Generation KKS Yabuki Nako for HKT48. The center for SKE48's song is recently promoted Yamada Mizuho.

NMB48 to Make First Solo Appearance at NHK Kouhaku

The year is coming to an end and soon it is time again for the next NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen, the annual music show contest between a red (female artists) and white (male artists) team broadcasted on December 31. On November 18 it was revealed that NMB48 will make their first solo appearance at the famous event this year.

AKB48 already made several appearances at the Kouhaku and last year SKE48 also got their first solo appearance there. NMB48 members performed at the Kouhaku before but only as part of AKB48's performance, not on their own.

A solo appearance at  the NHK Kouhaku has been NMB48's big goal for this year. It was even the theme of the song [12/31] included on the group's first album [Teppen Tottande]. Even NMB48's West and East Japan tours had the title [12/31], the Kouhaku date.

SKE48 Team S 5th Stage Postponed

The start of Team S' 5th Stage which was scheduled for November 30th has been postponed. No new date for this stage has been announced yet.

New stages for all teams had been announced during AKB48's Dome Tour this summer. The first one of this, Team N's [Koko ni datte Tenshi wa Iru], is supposed to start in a few days on the 19th after several delays. Now the next in line, S 5th, was delayed which raises doubts whether the stage scheduled next after S5, Team H's new stage, will really start on time on  December 22nd.

Compared to last year's cool single [UZA] (1,128,696 copies in first week), sold around the same period of the year, sales are even a bit better.
