Koyanagi Arisa joined NMB48 in 2010 as part of the 1st Generation but was neither chosen for the original Team N nor for Team M. After two years as a Kenkyuusei she was finally promoted to Team M in October 2012.

Since my first year in high school, I began to aspire a work in the field of clothing. Now that I am in my third high school year I have to finally decide my future course. I began to wonder "What should I do?" and worried a lot but after all my strongest wish was that I want to work in the field of clothing.
I love NMB48 and I love all the members, so I also thought about continuing NMB48 while going to a vocational school at the same time. But I also thought that this will be even harder than balance high school and NMB48 and I worried that I might end up doing both things half-heartedly.
I thought that if I continued NMB48 half-heartedly, I myself would not be able to advance and it would also cause trouble to everyone in NMB48 and Team M, so I decided that as well as graduating high school I will also graduate from NMB48.
