AKB48, SKE48, NMB48 and HKT48 held a simultaneous charity performance at their respective theatres today, exactly 1 year after the Tohoku Earthquake struck Japan.
A total of 282 members participated in this joint project. The performances started at 2:30 JST. At 2:46 PM, the exact time when the earthquake struck, all 4 groups held a one minute of silence
All four shows were live streamed through AKB48's YouTube channel. SDN48 also joined in during Dareka no Tame ni from their handshake event at the Tokyo Big Sight.
