NMB48 Miura Arisa Promoted to Team M

On March 20th, Team M finished their first tour with a concert in Osaka City and the tour finale came with a surprise announcement. Kenkyuusei Miura Arisa was promoted to Team M.

Miura Arisa is a 3rd Generation Kenkyuusei who joined NMB48 in early-2012. She was one of the few 3rd Generation members who weren't selected for Team BII but she kept working as a Kenkyuusei and was now rewarded. With her promotion only one 3rd Generation member, Takayama Riko, is left among the Kenkyuusei.

Apart from the promotion, the tour finale also included a graduation ceremony for captain Shimada Rena who will graduate on April 7 with a final theater show.

NMB48 Team M Shimada Rena Announces Graduation

During Day 3 of Team M's Osaka Tour, Team M captain Shimada Rena announced her graduation from NMB48. A date for her graduation has yet to be decided.

Shimada Rena joined NMB48 in mid-2011 as part of the 2nd Generation. Following a purikura/boyfriend scandal she was suspended for four months. After a fan voting she was allowed back in and resumed her activities on January 1st, 2012. In order to prove herself, she was made captain of the 2nd Generation Kenkyuusei and later captain of Team M when it was formed. She was part of NMB48 senbatsu once, for [Bokura no Eureka].

Shimada Rena's graduation announcement
Original Message
I, Shimada Rena, will graduate from NMB48.
Last year I had my 20th birthday, and I started to think about my future more than before. I was allowed to make a lot of experiences in this really blessed place that is NMB48 and, including painful and frustrating things, I was able to learn a lot here.
I started thinking about graduation, but the staff and the presence of the members I spent every day with and the words of all my fans who cheered me on during handshake events etc, kept me back. There were times my heart trembled and wavered too, but consulting with my family and thinking a lot, I decided to graduate NMB48.
Taking over the responsibility of being captain was the condition at the time of my comeback, incomprehensibly for me at that time, I became the Team M and 2nd Generation captain. I kept running against walls so much that there was not a day as captain I did not worry, but with the strong wish "I want to make Team M a good team" I came to where I am now as well as I could.
With this tour, I could once again confirm that this team is a really great one.
I really was not the captain-type, but everyone followed me, and I am really grateful that I could make it this far. I am grateful that Akimoto-sensei layed the responsibility of being captain on me at the time of my comeback.
To tell the truth, I wanted us to grow even further through this tour. There was the shuffle, but this Team M overcame so many walls and it only consists of really great members. No matter where they are going, I think they will be able to continue to shine.
I am sad that I won't be able to meet all the fans who supported me until now at handshake events or theater shows anymore. But I haven't given up my dream and there are also a lot of things I want to do from now on, so I would be happy if you continued to watch over me.
Thank you so much for everything until now.

NMB48 Team M Tour Setlist

On February 25th, NMB48's Team M started their first solo tour with a concert in Kishiwada. A total of 7 concerts all over Osaka Prefecture are scheduled with a two day final in Osaka City on March 19th and 20th.

This is the first time Team M performs concerts alone without the other NMB48 teams. Because of the big group shuffle that took place on February 24th, those concerts will probably also be the last ones Team M performs with their current line-up.

NMB48 Koyanagi Arisa to Graduate

NMB48 Team M member Koyanagi Arisa has announced that she will graduate from NMB48 because she wants to pursue a career in clothing. Details about final activities and her graduation show will be announced on a later date.

Koyanagi Arisa joined NMB48 in 2010 as part of the 1st Generation but was neither chosen for the original Team N nor for Team M. After two years as a Kenkyuusei she was finally promoted to Team M in October 2012.

Koyanagi Arisa's graduation announcement
Original Message
I, Koyanagi Arisa, will graduate from NMB48.
Since my first year in high school, I began to aspire a work in the field of clothing. Now that I am in my third high school year I have to finally decide my future course. I began to wonder "What should I do?" and worried a lot but after all my strongest wish was that I want to work in the field of clothing.
I love NMB48 and I love all the members, so I also thought about continuing NMB48 while going to a vocational school at the same time. But I also thought that this will be even harder than balance high school and NMB48 and I worried that I might end up doing both things half-heartedly.
I thought that if I continued NMB48 half-heartedly, I myself would not be able to advance and it would also cause trouble to everyone in NMB48 and Team M, so I decided that as well as graduating high school I will also graduate from NMB48. There is only a short time left for me in NMB48, but I would be happy if you support me till the end.

48Group New Team Stages To Be Rescheduled

Recently it was announced that Team S' 5th Stage scheduled for November 30th had to be delayed. The new shonichi date for this stage has now been revealed: it will be on February 27th, 2014.

But this is not the only news concerning new team stages. Team H's new stage, the first original one for HKT48, planned to start on December 22nd has been delayed too. A new date has not been mentioned.

Additionally, new stages for the other teams will have to undergo schedule changes as well.

I guess many people expected this to happen. I did, but it is still disappointing. Why did they even bother to announce exact dates for all new stages even though it was clear they could not keep them?

Jo Eriko Returns to NMB48, Hayashi Momoka Promoted to Team N and Other Surprises Announced

NMB48 finished the second and final day of their 3rd Anniversary Live and this day brought several surprise announcements.

During the evening concert it was revealed that former Team M member Jo Eriko returns to NMB48 as a Kenkyuusei. Jo Eriko had first joined the group alongside the other 2nd Generation members in 2011 and immediately became the ace of the 2nd Generation and later the center of Team M. She graduated from NMB48 in September 2012. She was now allowed back after passing a special audition.

Another surprise of the evening concert was the promotion of Hayashi Momoka to Team N to fill the open spot of graduate Fukumoto Aina. Momoka is a 2nd Generation member and joined NMB48 already in mid-2011, after more than two years as a Kenkyuusei she now became a full member.

Two other announcements had already been made during the noon concert. First, NMB48 will release studio recordings of their stage shows on January 1, 2014. Second, Team M will have a solo concert tour around Osaka Prefecture.

Yamada Nana Debuts In Team M

Former Team N member Yamada Nana made her debut as a member of Team M on May 30. She performed Team M's first stage [Idol no Yoake] for the first time taking the center position in the unit [Kuchi Utsushi no Chocholate]. This position, originally performed by Kashiwagi Yuki in B4, had been taken by former Team M member Hikawa Ayame until she graduated in December last year.

Nana's move to Team M had been announced on April 18 during NMB48's Request Hour Setlist Best 30. Her debut as Team M member comes 10 days after her last show in Team N which she performed on May 20.

Yamada Nana's first show in M was also Yamamoto Hitomi's last one. As previously reported, Hitomin announced her graduation on May 1 explaining that she wants to focus on her studies. With her gone Team M has one open spot to fill despite Nana's debut.

Yokoyama Yui and Yamada Nana Leave Team N

Yokoyama Yui and Yamada Nana both performed their last show as Team N members on May 20. With this, Yokoyama's concurrency ends and she will be only an AKB48 member from now on while Yamada Nana will move to Team M. During the show the two and Yamamoto Sayaka also performed their unit song [Dazai Osamu wo Yonda ka?] from the NMB48 album for the first time in the theater.

Yokoyama Yui's concurrency had been announced during the Tokyo Dome Concerts in August last year. Since then she was quite active in NMB48. She was senbatsu in NMB48's single [Kitagawa Kenji], participated in the album [Teppen Tottande] and was part of the main cast in [NMB48 Geinin!!2] as well as [Geinin! The Movie]. Umeda Team B member Ichikawa Miori will take over the concurrent position in Team N.

Yamada Nana's move to Team M had been announced during NMB48's Request Hour Setlist Best 30 on April 18. Nana has been a Team N member ever since the team was formed in early 2011 and was always one of the front members. From now on she will have to do her best in Team M.

Both girls made comments about their leave on Google+.

NMB48 Team M's Yamamoto Hitomi To Graduate

At the end of Team M's theater show [Idol no Yoake] on May 1, Team M member Yamamoto Hitomi announced her graduation. The reason given is that she wants to focus on her studies. She will have her graduation show on May 30.

Yamamoto Hitomi is a 2nd generation member of NMB48 who debuted in summer 2011. After being active as a Kenkyusei for more than a year, she was promoted to Team M in October last year.

You can read a translation of her graduation comment below.

Yamamoto Hitomi's comment to her fans:
Original Message
I, Yamamoto Hitomi, will graduate from NMB48.
This spring I will become a third year junior high school student, and I will have high school entrance exams. I've thought about my future, so I consulted with my family and the staff several times and then decided to graduate.
With a "Hitomi Legend" as my objective, I had been active in NMB48 as a Kenkyusei and in autumn last year I was finally promoted to Team M.
While I was able to do various work, I saw people working and shining in media and I wanted to become like them too. So I came to think that I want to study properly, get in touch with people and things from different fields and refine myself.
That's why I decided to concentrate on my studies and study with all my power aiming for the top, just like the time when I gave my all striving for a promotion to a team.
To be honest, leaving my beloved NMB48 and parting with my beloved fellow members and with you all, is really hard.
Thanks to those who have cheered for me and supported me all the time I was able to grow, furthermore I was able to have a great dream. I'm full of gratitude to you all, I cannot even express it in words, but I am also really sorry.
I've decided this, so I will absolutely pull it through.
There is only a short time left for me as an NMB48 member, but please support me till the end.

NMB48 Yamada Nana Moved To Team M+ Promotions

NMB48 held their [Request Hour Setlist Best 30] on April 18 in Osaka and during the event some surprise announcements were made.

First of all, it was announced that popular Team N member Yamada Nana would be moved to Team M. Nana is a 1st Generation member and has always been in Team N since it was formed. Nana will take the spot of former Team M member Hikawa Ayame who graduated in December.

To fill the spots left open by Shinohara Kanna's recent graduation and Yamada Nana's move to Team M, two Kenkyusei, Koga Narumi and Nishimura Aika have been promoted to Team N.

Koga Narumi is a 2nd Generation Kenkyusei who joined the group in 2011, and now has been promoted after almost two years as a Kenkyuusei. Nishimura Aika instead is a 4th Generation Kenkyusei who had just debuted in December last year.

Congratulations to the promoted girls. I am not so sure what I should think about Nana's move to M. I don't really like team shuffles or members being switched around and Nana just fits Team N better in my opinion. But let's see how it will turn out.

NMB48 Hikawa Ayame and Sato Sorai to Graduate

NMB48 Team M member Hikawa Ayame and Kenkyusei Sato Sorai both announced their graduation on December 13. This news comes only a week after Kenkyusei Sugimoto Kano resigned from the group.

Hikawa Ayame has been taking a break from her activities in NMB48 since late October due to a leg injury. Since it will take more time to recover, she decided to graduate from the group.

Ayame is a 1st Generation NMB48 member. After not making Team N in 2011 she continued her activities as a Kenkyuusei, and was able to get into AKB48's Janken Senbatsu last year. In January this year she was selected for Team M and even centered the unit Kuchi utsushi chocolate. Unfortunately Ayame won't be able to perform in a full graduation show, but she will get a graduation ceremony during the theater show on December 22.

2nd Generation Kenkyusei Sato Sorai's reason for leaving the group is that she wants to focus on her studies. A reason which has caused many other NMB48 girls to leave. Sorai's graduation show will be held on December 21.

In total NMB48 lost 15 members this year (6 full members, 9 Kenkyusei).

Hikawa Ayame's Comment to her fans:
Original Message

I, Hikawa Ayame, will graduate from NMB48.
I have been taking a break from NMB48 since October 29 for medical treatment of my leg injury, but even though I get treatment, it hasn't healed completely, and when I exercise it hurts.
While being on a break I often thought about my future, and I started to think about graduation.
There have been people waiting for my return, so I am really sorry for this annoucement.
I really think it was great joining NMB48. I have been sharing the fun times, the happy times, the hard times and the sad times together with the other members. I made a lot of precious experiences and I think I have been able to change myself a bit.
I am so thankful to the members, the staff, my family, my friends and to everyone who supported me. I have decided to go a different way from now on but I will move forward believing in myself.
Due to my leg injury I won't be able to do a graduation show but there will be a graduation ceremony on December 22. I would be happy if you watched over me until then.
NMB48 Team M Hikawa Ayame

Sato Sorai's Comment to her fans:
Original Message

I, Sato Sorai, will graduate from NMB48.
I have two dreams.
One is, like I told you before, to become an actress. The other is to become a childcare worker, a dream I had since before I joined NMB48.
I really love NMB48, but I thought about my future once again, and now my wish to focus on my studies became stronger, so I decided to graduate from NMB48.
I absolutely won't forget the many experiences I made through my activities in NMB48, and also not the memories I made with my fans.
I am so thankful to all my fans, the members and the staff.
It was great having been able to meet you. Thank you.
There is only a bit time left for me as a part of NMB48 but I'd be happy if you watched over me until my graduation.
Sato Sorai.

And the NMB48 graduation rush starts again...Poor Ayame, having to leave because of an injury must hurt. She was one of my favourite Team M girls, so I am sad now. But I wish her all the best for her future and hope she recovers fast. Also good luck to Sato Sorai for her studies.

NMB48 Hikawa Ayame on Injury Break

It was announced on NMB48's official blog that Team M member Hikawa Ayame will take a break from NMB48. She has a leg injury and needs time to rest and do rehabilitation.

There is no information on how long this break might take.

Hikawa Ayame's comment:
Original Message
Since about 3,4 months ago, my leg injury and physical condition hasn't been good and there were times I was abesent from work and stage shows. I think if I continued to drag on (this situation) like this I would cause troubles, and as a result of talking to the staff, I will take a short break.
It's inexcusable and arbitrary, but please give me a bit time.
I don't know when I will be able to come back, but I will do my best at treatment and rehabilitation to get well as fast as possible.
I am really sorry.

Hikawa Ayame

I wish her all the best for her recovery and hope she will be able to come back soon.

Yagura Fuuko will be the new center of Team M and she took over Jo Eriko's position in the currently ongoing stage show. Azuma Yuki took over Fujita Runa's position, Koyanagi Arisa is in Ota Riona's spot and Yamamoto Hitomi now does Yagura Fuuko's former position. Shimada Rena remains captain.

New Team M Line-up
Azuma Yuki (promoted)
Okita Ayaka
Kawakami Rena
Kinoshita Momoka
Koyanagi Arisa (promoted)

Hikawa Ayame
Takano Yui

I am happy about this new line-up. When they announced there was going to be a "New Team M", I was a bit afraid they'd shuffle NMB around. I am glad they didn't. And Koyanagi Arisa, the last remaining 1st Generation KKS, was finally promoted. Congratulations!

NMB48 Team M Ota Riona to graduate

On October 4, just one day after Fujita Runa announced her withdrawal from NMB48, another Team M member has announced to leave. First generation member Ota Riona will graduate from the group to focus on her studies. A graduation date will be announced on a later date.

On September 28 Jo Eriko graduated, on October 3 Fujita Runa left and now Ota Riona will go too. This makes three Team M girls in only a few days.Is this a coincidence or does it have to do with the announcement of New Team M on October 9?

Ota Riona's translated message
 Original Message

I have an announcement for you.
I, Ota Riona, will graduate from NMB48.

Two years ago I passed NMB48 (the audition) as a 1st Generation member. My whole family was very happy.

I was also chosen for the Shonichi of the "Dareka no Tame ni" stage show on January 1st, but I could not get into Team N. As a 1st Generation Kenkyuusei, frustrated, I learned a lot of positions. I remember the time when all 1st Generation Kenkyuusei said "Let's all be promoted together". I was very happy when I was chosen as a Team M member in January this year.

I chose a high school in Osaka and came alone from Gifu to Osaka. Because I was working hard by myself, I was also worrying about balancing my studies, and three months ago I started to think about graduating.

My dream is to become a singer and actress. For now, I want to focus on my studies, make time to find myself once again, and then move towards my dream from scratch again.

I am really thankful that I was able to make a lot of precious experiences normal girls cannot make in my two years in NMB48. The 8 months I was able to be active in Team M were a lot of fun. Thank you really. I love NMB48.

Because I have not given up on my dream, I want to continue doing my best in my own pace from now on too.

Lastly, to the fans who have supported me, staff, all members: thank you for everything.

Team M Member Fujita Runa quits NMB48

On October 3rd, it was announced that Fujita Runa, member of NMB48's Team M, will leave the group immediately. Her Google+ account and participation in the NMB48 blog will stop in a few days too.

Fujita Runa has been suffering from lower back/hip pain for a while because of which she had to reduce her work in NMB48 and now decided to quit completely.

Runa joined NMB48 as a 2nd Generation member in summer last year and also was an original member of Team M, formed in January this year. She is the third Team M member to leave, after Kodakari Yuuka and Jo Eriko.

Below is the translation of her message to the fans.

Fujita Runa's comment.
Original Message

 To my beloved everyone
I am sorry for causing you a lot of worries.
My lower back/hip has been hurting and I also went to the hospital but it is not yet completely healed. Because it would be sad to cause you more worries and trouble I decided to withdraw from my activities in NMB48.
Until now I thought and worried a lot. 'I don't want to quit'...I feel that too. But if my back does not heal now, I cannot move forward.
I love you all, the members and NMB48. I really do.
Since I joined NMB48 I have been able to make a lot of experiences. Stage shows, handshake events, two-shot events, other events, the Janken tournament. Out of all that I love the stage shows, the handshake and two-shot events, I was happy to be able to meet you and I had fun.
For me, who likes to talk, those were great events.
Having been able to meet you, that is my treasure.
What saved me during sad times, hard times, frustrating times and times when I wanted to cry or was about to give up, were you all and the members.
There were several times when I read the blog comments and thought, crying, "I'll do my best".
Really, thank you for supporting this me until now.
The words I absolutely wanted to say at last, are "thank you" to you all and the members.
I am grateful to everyone I met. From now on I'll let my back/hip heal properly, and because I also have high school entrance exams, I'll do my best at studying too.
"I will, the way it suits me," do my best, without forgetting these words you taught me, so that I won't lose to you.
I love the 2nd generation members. I love Team M. I love NMB48.
Really, thank you for everything.

All the best to Runa for her recovery.
