Matsui Sakiko's solo piano album, last mentioned in February now has a release date set. The still untitled album will be released on the 3rd October 2012.
Matsui Sakiko is currently studying at the Tokyo College of Music, and has being playing the piano since she was four years old. The first episode of her new monthly classical music show [Yomikyou Symphonic Live] aired on the 15th August.
Her solo piano album will include 11 songs including renditions of AKB48 songs [Heavy Rotation], [Everyday, Kachuusha], and [Aitakatta] and original songs such as the one used in the Nissin REAL Cup Noodle CMs, composed by Hattori Takayuki, which you can see/hear below. Further track details are yet to be revealed.
I am very happy for the opportunities AKB48 has helped give Sakiko in her field of classical music and am really looking forward to hearing the album. The song in the CM is enjoyable and I wonder what other AKB48 songs will be used. I also hope it will help introduce fans of idol music to the field of classical music. Congratulations to Sakiko on becoming the first AKB48 member to have a solo album!
