The VoCE BEAUTY AWARDS 2011 Annual Best Cosmetics Grand Prix Award Ceremony took place on 22 November 2011. Attending the awards ceremony was Maeda Atsuko, receiver of a special category award [2011 BEST BEAUTY OF THE YEAR].
In receiving her award, Acchan commented "I'm a bit surprised, but I do have an interest in beauty, so I am very happy." She also made a few comments regarding the upcoming Christmas season, saying "Every year, the members have a lot of fun dressing in Santa cosplay, and we hope to continue to do so this year too."
This yearly awards series is sponsored by the editorial department of [VoCE] magazine. The awards cover a wide range of beauty-related categories, with many influential personalities selected to receive them.
Acchan, known for her great interest in eye makeup, shared her personal best tip "Use mascara on the corners of the eyes to create emphasis." To maintain a beautiful complexion like hers, she suggests "It is very important to try many products in order to find the ones that best suit each individual."
In addition, she also commented on what she thinks makes an ideal woman, now that she has turned 20 years old. She said "I would wish to be a woman who can understand and carry her own emotions with good grace, and also be able to be considerate of those around her."
Because the awards ceremony was held on [Good Couples Day], of course she was also asked about her ideas regarding what makes an ideal couple. To that end, she responded "My father and mother are my ideal. That's just an example that I can think of. However, it was only after living alone that I realized how amazing my mother is."
This of course led to the question of marriage. She seemed a little overwhelmed, replying "How soon? Perhaps I might never get married."
In any case, Acchan looks really amazing in the photos of the event, and I think her award is certainly well deserved. Now to go practice applying mascara on the corners of my eyes...
