Watanabe Mayu solo debut [Synchro Tokimeki] PV + Tracklist

The full PV and tracklist for Watanabe Mayu's solo debut single [Synchro Tokimeki] is out! Check it out below!


Let's start with the PV. It first starts in her bedroom, where Mayuyu is idly drawing on her sketchbook. Look down, back up. THE DRAWINGS ARE NOW REAL! (in Isaiah Mustafa's voice). We are now taken to a mysterious sepia-colored fairytale world where we are introduced to Princess Mayuyu and Hero Mayuyu. Or Mayuboy as I prefer to call her. I won't spoil you the rest, watch the PV for the whole storyline.



Now i'll admit i'm not that huge a fan of Mayuyu, she ranks in the above-average range for me. However I really like the song and the PV too, and will gladly purchase this single if I have the money. I'm a big fan of idol-ish songs and this is no exception. The storyline of the PV is great and i like how everything was executed, especially the parts where Mayuyu draws out the scenes in her delusion. I wish there was more though.

In the PV, Mayuyu plays 3 (or 4 if you count the idol mayuyu) different characters. It was a shame that "stylish mayuyu" on the single cover (red costume) did not make an appearance in the PV, because that is my favourite costume on the covers. Why isn't Mayuboy on the cover instead? It would be so much better than Usa Shishimi from Sabadoru. Uugh she still creeps me out.

I'm quite curious about how "Mayuyuroid" will sound like. The name sounds kinda mecha-ish, probably something that fits with her CG character I hope. I'm surprised there wasn't a song titled "CG Revolution" though. Would have been awesome.
