Maeda Atsuko 2nd Single [Kimi wa Boku da] 1st Week Sales + Review
Maeda Atsuko's 2nd single [Kimi wa Boku da] sold 136,212 copies and ranked #2 on the charts. She sadly lost of to EXILE but at least she beat Sasshi's [Soredemo Suki da yo] which sold 124,483 on it's first week.
[Flower] her debut single on the other hand had a sale of 176,967 copies on it's first week.
Kimi wa Boku da (君は僕だ)
The a-side is fun to listen too. It's got this really nice guitar tune to it at the beginning. Acchan's vocals have improved so much compared to her first single. This song always makes me so happy whenever I listen to it
Migikata (右肩)
This deserved to be an A-side too. My favorites b-side from the single. Actually my favorite track from the whole single. I rarely like ballads but [Migikata], this song really has a huge impact on me. I love Acchan's vocal in this. This ballad is superb!
Toomawari (遠回り)
The beginning of Toomwari isn't something I prefer but beside that, this song makes good use of Acchan's vocals. The chorus is the best part of the song for me.
Aishi sugiro to...(愛しすぎろと。。。)
This song is too much like a Taylor Swift song, I'm not joking. With the guitar tune and how this song is sort of a light ballad, you'd mistake this as a Taylor Swift song in the beginning. I like this track but probably my least favorite track from the single.
Sunday Drive
I absolutely love this song, it's just a simple track that makes use of guitar and piano music. This is the sort of song you would want to hear, just lying back and relaxing.
Tatami (畳)
The theater exclusive b-side is such a sweet ballad. But this song, it reminds me of Christmas because it has a sort of Christmas tune to it in the chorus.
Overall: Acchan at her best! I think with her graduation announcement, a lot of pressure was lifted from her and her singing plus her acting potential (if you see the PV of Kimi wa Boku da) is finally reaching the heights it was meant to. Happy for you Acchan!
